What is a Komodo Diving Package?
A Komodo diving package is a fixed-price multi-day bundle covering dives, accommodation in Labuan Bajo, daily speedboat transfers to dive sites, marine park fees, full gear rental and meals — typically 3, 5 or 7 days with 2-3 dives per day at sites like Castle Rock, Batu Bolong and Manta Alley.

Unlike a liveaboard where you sleep on a boat, our packages combine a comfortable Labuan Bajo hotel base with daily speedboat dive trips to the same world-class sites. You get a hot shower, a cold beer at the harbour, and zero seasickness — while still ticking off Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, the Cauldron and Manta Alley.

3D2N Quick Dive Package — From USD 595/pax
Six dives over two days at the central park sites: Batu Bolong, Tatawa Besar, Sebayur, Mawan and Siaba. Open Water certified is enough. Ideal for divers stopping in Komodo as part of a wider Indonesia itinerary or weekend warriors flying in from Jakarta or Singapore.
5D4N Signature Package — From USD 1,095/pax
Twelve dives across four days, including the iconic north sites — Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and the Shotgun. Advanced Open Water recommended due to current exposure. This is the sweet spot most certified divers book: enough sites to feel the park’s full range without burning a fortnight of leave.
7D6N Atlas Explorer — From USD 1,595/pax
Eighteen dives across six days, hitting north, central and south sites — including Manta Alley off Nusa Kode and Pillarsteen for the macro-and-wide-angle finale. Padar sunrise hike and Rinca dragon walk built into surface-interval days. Best for instructor-led groups or photographers wanting repeat visits to the same site under different tide states.
The Komodo Dive Sites You’ll Actually Visit
Komodo’s reputation rests on a small list of legendary sites. Our packages structure dive days so you experience the variety: pelagic-charged seamounts in the north, manta cleaning stations in the south, and macro-rich coral gardens in the central channel.
- Castle Rock — north pinnacle, schooling trevally and reef sharks, current rated 4/5, AOW + 50 logged dives recommended.

What’s Included — and What’s Not
Transparent inclusions matter. Every Komodo Dive Package Atlas booking covers:
- Daily speedboat transfers from Labuan Bajo harbour to dive sites (twin 200hp engines, oxygen, first aid, marine radio).
- Full PADI/SSI rental gear: BCD, regulator with octopus, 5mm wetsuit, 3kg integrated weights, mask, fins, snorkel, computer, SMB.
- 15-litre aluminium tanks (12L available on request, DIN or yoke).
- Three meals on dive days — light breakfast, hot lunch on boat, hotel-included dinner.
- Marine park entry, ranger fees, port departure tax.
- 1:4 dive guide ratio maximum, English-speaking PADI Divemaster or Instructor.

Who This Is For — and Who Should Book a Liveaboard Instead
Land-based packages suit certified divers who value comfort, flexibility and shorter trip lengths. They are not the right call for everyone. Book a package if you’re a certified Open Water or AOW diver wanting a 3-7 day trip without seasickness, you prefer mobile signal and shore evenings, you’re travelling solo and don’t want to share a 4-bunk dorm, or you want flexibility to add a Padar hike or Rinca dragon stop. Book a liveaboard if you want 4 dives per day every day, you’re chasing remote southern sites only reachable by overnight transit, or you have 8+ days and prefer the social rhythm of cabin life.
Certifications and Skill Levels We Accept
Open Water Divers can join 3D2N and most 5D4N itineraries — we route them to Batu Bolong, Sebayur, Tatawa Besar, Mawan and Pink Beach where currents are manageable and depth stays within 18m. Advanced Open Water unlocks Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and the Cauldron. Nitrox-certified divers extend bottom time on deeper north sites — fills available on package days 2 onwards once tanks are pre-cleaned. We require minimum 10 logged dives within the past 12 months for AOW north-site participation; if you’re rusty, we’ll add a refresher dive at Sebayur on day one (USD 65).
Sample 5D4N Package Itinerary
Day 1 — LBJ airport pickup, hotel check-in, briefing and gear fitting at the dive shop, welcome dinner. Day 2 — Three dives at Sebayur, Mawan, Tatawa Kecil. Day 3 — Three dives at Batu Bolong, Pink Beach, Siaba Besar. Day 4 — Three dives at Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Cauldron (AOW required). Day 5 — Three dives at Tatawa Besar, Pillarsteen or Manta Point, Mawan. Day 6 — Padar sunrise hike option, leisure morning, lunch, transfer to LBJ airport.

Komodo is divable year-round, but the season splits sharply. April-November delivers calm seas, 25-30m visibility and reliable manta sightings in the south. December-March brings rain, bigger swells in the north, but exceptional manta activity at the south sites and fewer crowds. Once you confirm dates and certification level, we match you to the right Labuan Bajo dive shop and hotel pairing, lock the speedboat with a 30% deposit, and handle marine park bookings 14 days before arrival. Package availability tightens 8-12 weeks ahead in peak season (June-September and Christmas-New Year), so early commitment matters.
